The Social Security Administration's chief data officer filed a whistleblower complaint alleging that DOGE copied a live copy of the master database of Social Security numbers and personal details, covering hundreds of millions of Americans, to a cloud server an internal review had flagged as high-risk, after circumventing the office that denied approval. <span class='caveat'>The administration says the data is secure.</span>
